CONSULTING EXPERIENCE

Consultant in Fund Raising (1991-present). Clients include: The National Trust for Scotland, The Trust for Public Land, Massachusetts Audubon Society, Berkshire Theatre Festival, Schepens Eye Research Institute, Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities, Quebec-Labrador Foundation/Atlantic Center for the Environment, Community Legal Services and Counseling Center, RAW Arts, and Tufts University.

STAFF EXPERIENCE

The Currier Gallery of Art, New Hampshire (1990-1991)

Director of Development. Chief development officer responsible for all donor identification, cultivation and solicitation. Accomplishments for 1990 included increasing Annual Fund donations by 50%, corporate membership by 53%, and exceeding all annual fund raising goals by 15%. Raised $645,000 from corporations, foundations, government agencies and individuals through grants, direct mail campaigns and personal solicitation. Oversaw a solicitation campaign that brought in 500 new members in three months.

City of Portsmouth, Board of Health, New Hampshire (1988-1989)
Independent Contractor. Contracted to conduct a resource analysis of substance abuse and treatment programs. Subsequently contracted to facilitate development of community-based prevention program for the City.

Bradford College, Massachusetts (1986-1987)

Special project officer. Assisted the President of the College and Vice President for Institutional Advancement on fund raising projects.

Brooklyn Law School, New York (1983-1986)

Director of Development and Alumni Affairs. Directed all fund raising activity. Increased annual giving by 50% in two years. Prepared all project ideas for the Dean. Served as liaison between the Law School and donors. Managed all logistical and promotional details for special events, e.g., lecture series, seminars, and alumni events.
